I was thinking about adding some stans in between my tire and tube for some added protection but I read some where that somone had used a syringe and added the sealant into their tube and let the sealant seal the needle hole and then had the sealant working from the inside. I guess for that matter you could put a small patch over the hole to make sure it was ... Obviously I wouldn't be riding the trail when the conditions are like this but I have done only a handful of races and about half of them have had areas to cross that are soupy muddy messes. The first time I attempted one of these I rode a line that several others had ridden and it didn't work out too well for me. The second time I went out as far as the tape would allow and got better traction and was able to manuever better. ...
