Just wanted to give everyone a heads up if they are going to ride the loop. I just got back from riding and the past 3 times I've ridden the dog at the top of grand oaks hill on the West side of the road has come out to greet me while I'm heading North. I believe this is Ron's non friend. The first time he came out he was all around my wheels and kept running in front of me, it was pretty hairy......yes the dog was hairy but I meant the situation too. The last two times there has been traffic ...

I went out and rode the loop tonight, what a great night to ride. I had my plan when I left the house, warm up out of town, gradually pick up speed, attack the hills going up Y, and then slowly back off the pace and cool down coming back into town.

This is off the subject but when I turned onto Y, it felt like I was riding at 2" above sea level with the water almost onto the road.

My plan was going well until I got onto A, there was just a slight breeze coming out of the south ...

OK. I bit the bullet. First road "race", if you call a single lap of 2.5 miles a race! Finished 17 out of 75 in my age group, not bad for a guy who has riden road for about 3 months huh? Passed the guy in rotation in front of me riding full aero bars, and kit ! Had a good time, dont ask me how long a drive it was to the kansas speedway for my 6:01:48 (thats six minutes ) run.

Woo hoo, finally nickled and dimed my bike together and the morning was nice and cool and clear so off to work I went. There is no way I am doing 7 hwy north tonight.

I just finished my thaw cycle after riding the loop. Yes the wind is my friend but she is also one cold you know what. It was good to get back on my road bike though.

Trailgator the cable adjustments worked really well, I only had a
couple slips during climbs under heavy strain. I never took it out of the big ring so I don't know how it would have shifted in the small ring. That is where I had the most trouble before the adjustment.
