I rode from #17 south to the CGL and back up today. I threw lots of debris and downed trees off the trail.
There is a tree that is blocking the trail on the steep downhill between the dam and CR510 trailhead. The tree is located in a spot where a rider will be coming down fast and turning a corner. Could be a real bad deal! There is also a widow maker hanging in a tree in the same location. If I get a chance, I'll try to get out with a chainsaw and take care of the tree before someone gets a surprise.
The trail is covered with leaves and will take a little more effort to ride. The positive is that you get to work on your handling skills. Dog Hill is pretty tough to clean right now. Everything else is in good shape and the fall weather is perfect for riding.
Be aware that there are bird hunters up in the open fields. This is not a problem if you are staying on the sections of the trail in the timber.
