PostSubject: Trail is in AWESOME shape!!!   Mon Jan 19, 2009 9:46 pm

Trailgator and I just got back from riding at Indian Creek. We parked at the shelter house at 510 and rode to Lot 17 and back. We started with daylight and turned on our headlights on the way back to finish up with a night ride. The trail was in really great shape, I am really enjoying the new section from the creek crossing to Lot 17, I about bit it in one of the washed out spots but was able to keep the bike upright.

It was pretty cold tonight but we layered well and both were very comfortable....until we got home and unloaded the truck.

It was a good ride. The trail was in such good shape, we flew all the way to the top. At one point, I stopped. I looked down. There was a bony, partly-hairy leg laying in the middle of the trail. I thought to myself, "Dang, I knew the time would come when Bernzie would rip one of my legs off during a ride, but why did he have to do it when it's so cold out?" I thought to myself, "Dang, I'm in a tight spot!" As it turns out it was just a deer's leg and all my parts were still attached. And that's what makes a good ride.

Not a clue about why a deer's leg was laying in the middle of the trail.

I still can't believe that deer leg stayed in your jersey pocket from there all the way back to the truck. It sure was nice to have something to chew on for the ride home.

Did you notice the "big cat" tracks next to the deer leg? Kinda makes you want to ride a little faster in the night with those lights a blazing, eh?
