Word has it that the Green Hills region will be represented by three of the greatest Lumberjacks since Paul Bunyan pulled up stakes and left Chillicothe for the north woods with Babe.

"Towering 29er" Tim Riekena, Mitch "Born-to-skatter the Peloton" Bernskoetter, and Mark "see ya at the top of the hill" Jenkins, will be leaving for Michigan on Thursday to participate in the "Lumberjack 100" mountain bike race. That's what I said, "100 miles of dirt, fire road, and everything else momma nature will be throwing at em."

Sure wished I'd known my team wasn't going back to Big Bear this year or I'd been leaving with these guys and mixing it up with the "elderly 50+ Masters crowd". Opps, sorry Timmy 29er, I'm not calling you old now. How about mature?

Good luck to our hometown heros and may your trip be safe. I do have one tip: Keep the knobbies pointing down toward the trail. Right Denny?

Good luck to everyone....Im starting to feel wimpy heading off to my big 6 miler race!!!!
My hip says to make sure and keep the knobbies down!!!!!!
I use to have a sticker on the back of my racecar that was upside down that said....."if you can read this please flip me back over!!!" Unfortunately that happened once....cost about $2000 to fix!!!! The good thing about bike racing is it only cost me pride of spending the day on my face!!!!
