That tree is now removed, it took me awhile but I was able to break it up in pieces and get it off the trail. I had to get way out on the end of it and push and push and push until about 5 ft broke off and then did it again until another 5 or 6 ft broke off and then I had the base loose enough that I could push the remainder the other direction to get it off the trail. It was a tough job, the tree actually threw me onto the ground at one point......I jumped up and made sure no one was hiking up the trail, didn't want to look like a dork or anything (What do you mean too late?).
