Just got back from hiking at Indian Creek. No wind, single digit temps, and I was totally worked when I got finished. I had my gloves and hat off and it was 8 degrees.

I had an awesome hike and and a great workout. The only prints on the trails are the deer and they are loving all the new stuff. The snow is deep enough to work you. I'm going to buy a pair of snowshoes just for times like this.

This is the perfect time to check out the trail as you can see the contour and find out which sections are getting the deer traffic. I'm taking a pair of loppers next time cause their will never be a better time to see the corridor and what needs to be trimmed. Much of the vegetation is easy to break with your hands. I have to say I am very pleased with what I'm seeing and it will continue to get better.

My legs are worked and the deep snow really gives you a good work out. I used today as a active recovery from a hard workout yesterday. I highly recommend winter hiking and it is good to break the snow for the guys that want to ride the trail.

I don't understand why people want to travel to Colorado for adenture when they have it in their own back yards!

Just got back from a hike at Indian Creek. Coach and I parked his truck up in the #17 parking lot and drove mine back down to the parking lot at 510. We hiked through 8-12 inches of fresh snow. The temps were hangin right around 13 deg and a steady snowfall. It was an amazing workout, took us just under 2.5 hours as we stopped everyonce in awhile to check the contours for future layouts. I didnt wear gloves half the time. Couldnt even tell it was 13 out.
im going to start doing my homework on snowshoes!!!! affraid

Uhhhh why are my legs sore today???? LOL

After googling snowshoes.....only thing I could find was the recipe for the snowshoe winter drink.......hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps. Sounds pretty tasty if it wasnt 9am in the morning!!!!
