James and I did a little re-con ride last night to check out the conditions. Coach asked me to take notes as we were riding and to give a report.....I have no idea who the stewards are for each section so I will just list the areas and you can decipher it yourself.
1st off.....Mitch, awesome job!! Your area is amazing and not very hard to figure out where you started and where you ended. Great job.

All the sections (not including Mitches) need trimmed and debris thrown off. We threw off the bigger stuff. Alot of the areas are getting very wooly. A simple walk through with a weedeater or the walk behind trimmer would make everything Sswwwweeeeetttt!
The trails are in awesome shape as far as draining and drying....just need to get trimmed. I think me and James are planning on attacking the campground loop Saturday afternoon.
Mitch.....their is one tree down on your section that we tried to move but I think its going to require a chainsaw. We did get it moved enough that you can ride around it but the trunk is still in the middle of trail!!!!

I have some trimming that I want to do on my sections, especially those stinging nettles at the bottom of "Dog Hill", those things suck to ride thru when they are not trimmed back.

Uh yah.....I forgot about the stinging nettles. Someone told me the only way to get rid of the burning was to pee on yourself, I just dealt with the pain instead!!!! Laughing

Denny, Jax and I got the campground loop and the connector over to the boat ramp trimmed yesterday and is ready for some hot laps as soon as it gets dried out a little more.

Amazing how much work you can get done when you just get after it.

That section of trail was designed to fast and flowy and also for beginners. So for the adrenaline junky's the site lines are trimmed back so you can crank it up and let r eat baby. And for beginners it’s perfect.

The section from the dam up thru re-route and onto the old trail over to the parking lot needs some weadeater action ASAP.

I got out today to trim from 510 to Deer Camp, I did get caught in the rain so I left a few tread marks from the trimmer. I did have an issue with the trimmer so the very end wasn't done quite as well I would have liked but it's still pretty good.

Weedeated from the shelter house parking lot off of gravel road 510 back towards the boat ramp parking lot. Made it about 2/3 of the way over. If someone wants to finish that up probably be shorter walk in from the boat ramp parking lot.

I thought I had the sight lines good on the south side of the campground.....but after riding several laps there last night I realized I still have some work to do. I was taking notes as I rode and hopefully Sunday afternoon I can get out and finish it up. Things look alot different when your riding instead of walking.

I took the DR and trimmed both sides all the way around the Campground Loop yesterday, then went back and cut sight lines all the way around. It is dry and ready to ride!!!! Coach followed around with the walk behind line trimmer and got it down to dirt!!

The campground loop and the connector over to the boat ramp are mowed. I used the DR and mowed both sides of the tread.

Once again the unique design of this loop allows for a first time trail rider to go out and have a good time. And if you are an experienced rider you will enjoy the fast flowy turns as it allows for an all out stay on the gas and let err eat kind of ride.

I rode back over to the loop after I hauled the DR back over to the trailer. As I was doing this lap I got to wondering what kind of time it takes to do a lap. So I stopped at the gravel road, tinkered with my bike a little bit and reset my computer. Took off, hit the first turn and realized I had not tighten my seat post, so I took care of that, took off again, and was back at the gravel road 8.5 minutes later. Having said all of that, for all you goal setters looking for challenge there is a time to beat and just so you know I will beat that time in the very near future.
