I went out yesterday to Crowder -- hard to believe it's been a year already since my first time out there. I wrote to Tim (bought his trail book after reading "The Nozarks" in "Rural Missouri") to congratulate you guys on a great trail. I owe an apology though. I wrote that it was "great trail except for some trail widening at technical features." I was not aware at the time that you guys host a race there. For a trail that gets raced, it is in phenominal shape.

I had planned to try my hand at R.I.M. this season, but will have to set my sights on next year. I only got in three laps yesterday and about croaked. Considering that it was the most trail miles I've put in so far this year, I suppose it could have gone far worse. At any rate it wasn't pretty.

So enough rambling for now. Good luck all, and I look forward to sharing some dirt with you at the Berryman.

The three "laps" I rode out at Crowder last week where not race course laps, but Tall Oaks laps, at granny gear pace, and I still almost croaked. Starting from the basement of fitness takes a bit of ego checking, especially after being considered "one of the fast guys."

I have to remind myself, "at least I'm back on the bike again"

Crowder is in awesome shape right now. Maybe one day we can reclaim the South Thompson and North Thompson loops from all the horse damage. Congrats on getting in some miles, its a fun place to ride. Better get in lots of them miles before Berryman because that thing is a whole different animal!!!
Doug and I had a chance to go up and ride Wednesday night....and its burned in nicely. I actually made it up the "DabMeister" for the 1st time last night without dabbing. Exciting stuff!!! Shocked

I love that you guys name notable trail sections. Have you ever considered making an interactive map with photos/videos of named sections?

Uh, would that take technical ability? Obviously, you don't know me, or haven't heard of my lack of tech savy! If it's trail technical, i can handle it. If it's got anything to do with gadgets or computer dodads, I'm toast.
