A great trail system doesn't just happen overnight. This article somewhat parallels our journey so far with our efforts at IC. We just need to keep plugging along and continue to maintain anything that we build. With my experience over the past 10 years with trail building, if we have more miles at IC, I can see getting more users, and more users should equate to more volunteers. We also need to get some of the 20 and 30 year old people turned on to mountain biking and hiking.

I can't imagine waiting seven years for local trails. Our trail here in Kirksville has been languishing for as long, but at least it's something to ride. The builders in the article must be super proud their work proved its mettle through all that rain.
