Join us for a weekend of riding and camping at Crowder State Park. Since I made the call to cancel RIM, some have shown interest in coming up and riding and camping up at Camp Grand River. I plan on camping Friday through Sunday. Camping will be primitive and I will open one bunk house.

Mitch is bringing some brats and Tim is bringing up the griddle for some morning pancakes.

Rides will include Crowder, IC, and maybe a trip over to 1000 Hills if those trails are ready.

There is no set time schedule and people will arrive and leave at their leisure.

I'm heading up that way sometime today, though still have no concrete idea of what my time line will be. I'm excited to get in some good riding this weekend. Here's hoping my legs and lungs decide to join in the festivities.

Thousand Hills Trail still has a decided primative, backcountry wildness to it, but it is rideable (and plenty fun to ride all the same). In all fairness, there are sections that would probably set the Pope to cussing like a sailer supposing he were a mountain biker. (It's been more or less a rescue mission out there this summer. The F*L*A*T*S Half Marathon is in four weeks, so after 10/22 the trails should be far more destination worthy.)
