Subject: Boxer on W at the county line of Liv. and Grundy Thu May 10, 2012 9:45 pm
Just a heads up that I got knocked down by a good sized boxer traveling north on route W just at the top of the hill at the county line, right before the Shelburne church and cemetery. The house is on the right (east) side of the road and it is a long climb so unless you are super fit, you'll probably be going pretty slow my the time you reach this house.
There are two dogs. iIn the past they have barked at me but never came out of the yard. The boxer charged toward me full speed and I though he was going to stop at the road. He hit me like a linebacker with a perfect form tackle. I ended up with a blloody elbow and pinkie finger. After the dog tackled me he headed straight back to the backyard, no bites or anything of that nature. I did inform the owner and he was apologetic and insured me that this was the first time this has happened.
I'll be watching from now on when I pass that house

I love the new categories. I suppose I'm on the yellow end of the spectrum here, but the idea of the stereotypical, thick necked, foaming at the mouth, poorly socialized, yellow toothed, country dog scares the crap out of me. I know it's a MOSTLY unfounded fear, but it's fear all the same.
