My old user name wont work so I made up a new one. We were there in March and had a great time. Want to come back up the 1st week of Nov. Are the trails going to be open or are they closed for hunting season? Is there a way to hike from parking lot 20 back to 11? Want to set up camp at 20 drive back to 11 drop truck and hike back to camp at 20. Is this possible? Thanks a ton if you can help.

Ok, one answer at a time. First, the trails will be closed that weekend for Deer Firearms Youth. Here is the link for the Poosey MDC hunting seasons:
http://mdc.mo.gov/hunting-trapping
Scroll down-any hunting activity that starts with Deer Firearms and the dates listed for that period will mean the trails will be closed. I'd suggest getting up on one of the weekends in Oct. If you can get away during the week, that is an option also. All the camping areas will be maxed out for the opening of deer firearms season. Maybe not so for the youth weekends, but the main portion season is a "free for all!" The trails will also be closed for Spring Turkey season.

As far as being able to hike from #20 to #11, via trail, that is not currently possible. But #21 to #11 is possible and it is a very short walk up the road on Rt. A to #20. As soon as we complete the bench cut work on our current phase I will start clearing the corridor for the extension to #20. There will also be a stacked loop option that will extend along the watershed out of 20 and will extend west and then back over on a higher contour and back to intersect the trail. This will allow for more trail options out of the north campground #20 for those individuals that prefer shorter hikes, trail runners, and also serve as gateway trails for beginner MTB'rs. Utilizing the service roads, there is going to be lots of options and access points and we will get the trails updated on the maps and signed. We are going to start and email list for individuals interested in volunteering on trail work weekends.

Coming from #11 (CG), you would use the CG connector over to the dam access lot, cross the dam to parking lot at CR510, keep heading north and you will cross "Bottom Hollow Road" (steep road), intersect access point to #16 at "Cemetery Road", stay right and keep hiking till trail pops out at dam and access #17, cross the dam and access the trail again on the north side of the dam. This is the start of the newest phase that was started last year. Hike through and make sure you check out the huge crib wall that was built on our last mega work day. You will hike through an area where the trail tread has been recently benched and then a section that is off camber. The current trail end will intersect a service road. At this point, turn right and walk down the service road and cross the dry creek. This road will "Y" into another service road (Bottom Hollow Road), stay left and hike the service road up to #21 and then Rt. A for a very short distance to the entrance to #20. You could actually "bushwhack" across the field to 20 if you choose.

Here is a link to the MDC area map:
http://extra.mdc.mo.gov/documents/area_brochures/7935map.pdf

It's 8 miles from #20 CG to Jamesport if you need groceries, beverage, or grub.

I hope that is helpful.
