We hiked the new section starting at parking lot 21 and hiked through to the junction of "Bottom Hollow Road" and then took BH all the way back up to #21.

The new section has lots of leaning small trees and some medium trees that have fallen down and are blocking parts of the trail. It is easy to walk around them. We saw less of this type of damage on the older trailer corridor so some of that may be contributed to the freshness of the new section. The heavy wet snow was the culprit for most the damage. I'd say high winds may have also contributed to the overall damage.

I plan on getting back out and cutting out the downed trees as soon as some of the snow melts and I get finished with cross season. Can't wait to get busy on the remainder of phase 7 up to #20.
