"Is there anybody out there???" sunny

Things are shagging up fast out here at Thousand Hills -- plenty of misc. debris from a recent storm that came through. Compared to the tree damage in town though, the trails have very little down.

How are things looking over that way?

Jeff, James and I staged our "Chainsaw Massacre" yesterday and cut out all the trees that were currently blocking the trail corridor at IC. It was a long day and some of the biggest trees that I've ever seen down at Poosey. I've seen some big ones down at Crowder. At any rate, I've trimmed all the trail from the top access all the way down to BH road intersection. James has trimmed all the CG loop and connector over to the dam parking lot. Ron Keith and Billy Gutshall trimmed from dam to 510 access. Mitch and Jan are currently trimming from 510 to Deer Camp. Tim has started trimming from BH road intersection and moving south.

It is now possible to ride the complete trail without dismounting but there are sections of trail that are still in need of a haircut and those pesky ticks are looking for a ride to dinner.

I will start on the trail build from BH up to #20 as soon as all the trimming is complete. When that section is complete it will be a "Campground to Campground" opportunity and we are talking 20+ miles round trip. That is some awesome riding opportunity there!

Campground to Campground riding will be pretty sweet. I'm hoping to start taking at least monthly cracks at the Trilogy soon -- Thousand Hills in the morning, over to Crowder, then down to Poosey to finish off the day's punishment, camp the night, then another round at Poosey and hopefully get to appreciate the scenery a bit better on fresh legs (chances are high though that they'll be fresh cement legs)
