I'm going to brave the leaves tomorrow. I'll be in the Tall Oaks parking lot about 1pm if anyone's interested in riding. The forecast for that time is 37deg, mostly cloudy and 10mph winds.

Maybe the slippery, out-of-control leaves will be good training for that "Hills of Hell" gravel.

If anybody wants to go, but the time doesn't work, shoot me an email before noon or so tomorrow & we'll work something out.

Dang, I'm still nursing my knee so I can get back on my bike maybe next week. I'd be there in a heart beat. I suggest getting some kind of a ride in cause the weather is going to go to the crapper starting next week. Their calling for cold-sloppy cyclecross type weather. Winter is arriving! Be prepared for the River Forks, scene of my super wipeout on the offcamber section of the reroute. Watch your speed on that corner.

I had to work super early today and had planned to leave around Noon and go get my stuff and meet you to ride but my 11:00 employee didn't show up so by the time I made other arrangements and left the store I didn't get home until 1:30. I was really wanting to ride, I really NEED to ride.

I thought maybe you would have been hunting. I wouldn't be too upset that you missed it. I didn't do the whole thing because the dirt is holding the exact amount of moisture it needs be considered cement. It won't stick to itself unless its on your bike, then it needs a chisel to come off. Makes your tires very slippery.

It wasn't too cold, but if anyone else heads up there, wear some gloves with fingers!

You're right. The mud is like concrete!
