Finally made it up to Crowder-1st time this year.

Had some guys come up from KC to ride IC and then we headed up to Crowder. Parked at #3 and rode Tall Oaks to NW Passage , took a right on South Thompson and negotiated all the horse tromp all the way over to Steep Creek. Bombed down Steep Creek and got to one of the creek crossings that had a large tree in it and had to dismount. To the hub at Tall oaks and back down to the car at #3. Didn't get to ride River Trail.

My first impression is that Crowder needs some TLC. South Thompson can be reclaimed if we want to put the effort into cutting out some downed trees, trimming the trail and working on some reroutes. The horses need to be kept off the trails when the trails are wet and the weeps are running.

As soon as I get done with phase 7 at IC I'll be ready to get busy at Crowder again.

That resource is too nice to let it get in poor condition. I know Damon has been super busy fixing all the things that have been neglected over the years. I want to be more active up there in 2013.
