Well, after all the talk about tubeless tires, I ended up with a front tire that kept losing air on Saturday. I had to put a tube in to finish the ride. I was using Specialized tires and have had some problem with certain tires holding air. The big problem was my tire was dried out and didn't have any functional Stans in the tube. This can be a problem with Stans. It is great to use as the initial sealant for tubeless tires but some guys will then use Berrymans or Slime. I've been told that Berrymans doesn't dry out. This is a good time to check your tires or use an injector and top off the sealant. I picked up a good trick while riding with the guys down in Arkansas. They were using an old gu flask and filled it with Stan's. They put it in their saddle bag/back pocket and had some back up if they ended up with a burp or ended up with the problem I had Saturday. I had Stan's in a flask in my tool box. I won't help if it's not with you.
Bernzie and I had a great ride Saturday. Didn't take too long to get warm with the climbing. The trail was froze and fast, especially with the leaves off.
Go Tigers!
